Fathers Circle
A Supportive Space for You

fathers circle

Are you a new dad? Congratulations!  Dad's Circle Online

Maybe you've been a dad for a while, but now you have a newborn, and you feel like you need someone to talk to? Do you feel like your friends don't always understand or aren’t emotionally available? You have a lot on your shoulders, and you want to know you're doing okay, that what you're feeling is shared by other dads?

Our group is open to every father – whether you're a new dad or experienced, in a relationship with a woman or a man, in shared custody, a single dad, a surrogate father, or a dad living abroad. Here, every father finds a space to connect, learn, and share the challenges and successes of fatherhood.

Over 4 sessions, each about an hour and fifteen minutes long, we will cover topics that are important to us as fathers:

  • The birth experience from your perspective – How you experienced the birth and what it means to you as a dad.

  • The father I am and the father I want to be – How to define your role as a father and grow into it.

  • My relationship with my father – How your relationship with your own father affects your parenting.

  • Relationships with in-laws – How to handle complex family dynamics.

  • Relationship with your partner – Strengthening and deepening the connection within the parenting journey.

  • Balancing parenting and career – Finding the right balance between work and family.

  • Sharing everyday life experiences

Feeling like it’s too much? Here's why you don't need to worry:

  • "I'm not used to sharing my feelings" – In this circle, everyone shares as much as they feel comfortable with, and there’s no obligation to speak. You can also just listen and learn from the discussions.

  • "I might not have anything in common with the others" – Even though our personal experiences differ, we all face similar challenges. You'll be surprised at how much you have in common with other dads.

  • "I don’t have anything to contribute" – Every dad brings unique experiences, and even if you choose to just listen, you’ll gain a lot from the sessions.

  • "I'm too busy" – The meetings are held online, at convenient hours, with no need for travel or special arrangements. It’s a small investment with a big impact.

  • "This is a mom thing" – If you're worried that a dads’ circle is more of a "mom thing," it's important to understand that this is a space specifically for men, where we focus on topics and challenges that fathers face, all from a male perspective. The dads' circle is designed to give you a place where you can share and listen to other fathers who are going through similar experiences – challenges at work, relationships, time management, and parenting in general. It’s not about being “mom-like” or “dad-like”; it’s about being a parent and getting the tools and support to navigate fatherhood better. This kind of group can strengthen you, provide new perspectives, and help you be the father you want to be, regardless of gender norms.

"Isn’t it weird that the facilitator is a woman?"
That’s a valid question, and it’s important to understand that I have extensive experience working with parents in general, and fathers in particular – I’ve been facilitating these kinds of groups for years, and I have the ability to guide conversations that support exactly what you need. The fact that I’m a woman can actually bring a different perspective and added value to the sessions. I understand the challenges and needs of fathers from my experience, and I know how to create a natural and comfortable dialogue that allows all participants to express themselves, whether through sharing or simply listening.

I invite you to step outside the box, try something new, and join our dads' circle – a safe place for you to be yourself, listen, talk, and connect.
